Elk Drawing

In the summer of 2010 I lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park. It was where I climbed my first mountain, saw my first elk, and where I met my husband. Yellowstone was an amazing place to fall in love. This is one of the few drawings I did while living there. I wish I had drawn more, but the beauty was overwhelming and intimidating. I'll go back and paint the crap out of it someday, but until then, I've got to get back to practicing.
